While brushing your teeth!
Using your bathroom mirror and sink, practice this hip opening stretch while brushing your teeth. You’ll improve flexibility in your ankles, knees and hip joints and care for your mouth at the same time. Your posture and balance should improve before your next six-month check up. Balance on your left leg, leaning your thigh against the edge of the sink if you need help. Raise your right leg and place the sole of your right foot on the inner side of your left leg. You can use your hands to help place that right foot higher up on your thigh but move slowly being very careful with your knees. As you breathe normally, gently press your bent knee back, away from the sink, and down. To help you balance, focus your gaze on your favorite facial feature. As you inhale, straighten and lengthen your spine, squeeze your rear and check to see that your standing leg is straight. Remembering to breathe, hold the stretch for half the duration of your dental hygiene regimen. Gently lower your bent leg to the floor and repeat on the other side.
